At times, we can drift away from ourselves and our true happiness. I am guilty of it.

There is so much noise in society today about what we ‘should’ be doing, who we’re ‘meant’ to be, what the ‘expectation’ of us is and I am sick of it.

I have had this urge to write a blog for a long time, this isn’t news I have spoken about this before, but the more I write and the more I delve into the world of digital content creation, the more noise shows up by way of Facebook and Instagram ads to “Sell products online” or “Learn affiliate marketing” or just some other nonsensical bullshit that when I really sit down and think about it, I am not interested in.

I trust the universe.

Whole heartedly, I know that if I continue down the path of posting what I truely resonate with and allow thing to unfold in their own way, celebrate the small wins and present my authentic self to the world, it will end up where it needs to go.

My favourite keynote speaker is a woman names Lisa O’Neill. I have sat through two of her keynote sessions and I listen to her podcast quite regularly. I listened to one a few days ago and she made a comment that I have not stopped thinking about since. I am going to paraphrase here because I cannot remember word for word what she said, but the generalised theme “When we do more of what we want, we are lead to where we’re meant to be.”

Lisa focus’ a lot on literally just doing whatever the fuck you want and not taking no for an answer and it really hits me when I’m feeling self doubt creep in.

But at times, with all the nonsense and shitty comments and noise that comes from the eight billion other people who think their opinion is so overwhelmingly important I need to adjust my boundaries to cater to them, even I need some extra help keeping myself grounded sometimes.

Today I really want to remind you that staying true to your authentic self is really something worth fighting for. I want you to remember that the only person who knows what is going to make you feel whole is you. Stay true to that person.

For me – the biggest challenge here is social media. I find myself falling down the rabbit hole of making money off my social media and then end up in a jumbled heap on the floor because I don’t want to schedule it perfect or have to post fifteen times a day or have to follow some template or rule or format to make money. I just want to fucking post pretty photos that make me happy, share quotes that inspire me and show up as my authentic self. That’s it. But I still manage to get thrown off by all the noise.

So how do I get back on course when this happens? Well, you guessed it. I grab some rocks.
